South Florida Realtor here (palm beach county) - Most of the apartments wont qualify for a first time home buyers / FHA situ and you will have to go conventional.Also the reserves might not be there for a low DP either.The deals unless you find an absolute gem just aren't here.a current property I have - 15 via de casas sur, unit 104, Boynton Beach - currently selling that after a rehabbought for $145k - totally in it for $190k - should sell for 210k (and would rent for 1800-1850 but has a $370HOA) the opportunities are here in South Florida but not often with a condo or townhome as the HOA's kill the return.
