As you were asking about news articles I cited, while the Porter Case ones are not available, the one about another scam involving sub-2's Foreclosure Scam           Joe Kaiser, a license realtor would in many cases acquire properties under sub-2, let it go to foreclosure, then pocket proceeds from the foreclosure sale where the lender had to refund proceeds above the unpaid mortgages to the owner of record.

She says "Hey, my daughter sent me this link from CL to this home and I am calling to see if this is a real house for rent or if it is a scam.  

The more you know the less likely you will be scammed by a unscrupulous contractor.

I have 25 properties in Memphis, and they cash flow $80-$100K per year, or $50K-$70K after CapEx.But that's with a conservative strategy, not the Section 8/BRRRR gurus path -- totally agree there are some scam artists out there.

His 40-plus years in real estate speaks for itself, and his unquestionable devotion to providing his expertise, advice, and thoughts here on BP have earned him a level of respect on this site that you apparently are unaware of.He will not condemn anyone simply based off a black and white forum.  

They can use your video to create a fake listing and scam other guests out of money. 

As a side note, Floridas current insurance issues are mostly caused by other factors besides the increase in severity and frequency of natural disasters however (roofing scams and no caps on lawyers fees for claims, both results of bad government policy that resulted in most insurance companies leaving the state and the remaining ones raising rates to account for having to pay for all of the roofing scams and absurdly high attorney fees on simple claims). 

My STR has 1 crazy bad 1 star review that starts by calling our STR a scam but the rest are 5 star reviews.
