I do think having activities for residents, charity participation and always being friendly and courteous goes a long way.

The minute dad is gone someone calls a charity to come get the car that hasn’t run in a decade or throws it up on Craigslist.

Tough situation to be in but you bought it for business not for charity.

The plan is one formal meeting each month and other optional meetups like checking out a property, having a local event at someone’s house, and possibly two charity events (5k run/walk with funds raised going to HUD or other group who helps people with housing)You can be as involved as you like.

It is charity plain and simple.

If you genuinely feel bad then take money out of your own pocket and give it to them as charity but lets not further perpetuate the culture of entitlement that pervades much of this country. 

It comes down to a question of business or charity.

Our reason to move to the other city is being able to do activities (charity show and things like that).

Over-indulgent negligent parents spoil kids.To tell you the truth, I don't see many charities that deserve any money, either.
