I take it you have used the local county auditors website to look up the current owners name and mailing address, if it isn't the current property. 

I went to the County Auditor website and saw that it is zoned as a 2-family and land use is also 2-family.

So, when an auditor is looking at about 8,000 to 10,000 of my records and asks for an invoice I know exactly to the exact page number where every documents is located.

@Corey GilroyTo reclarify, just checking other listings for permit numbers is one way to check if there may be permit regulation.Obviously reach out to the local zoning department, county auditor, and county permitting department for the most accurate route.

I'd start with the county auditor.

The trouble is once the auditors are looking, they insist on finding something.

If you are not a RE Agent or Broker an IRS Auditor will not look kindly on your deducting travel to a "RE Conference".
