When talking with local agents, like myself, we are constrained by real estate law as to how to answer that question, as in the past there have been issues they call “red lining.”

But asking you to lie crosses a lot of red lines I think.

When you say those in the South and West sides should “change habits” do you mean reverse systemic racism’s historical process of redlining black neighborhoods, depriving them of access to quality early education and good paying jobs? 

I think the other agent is probably saying without redlining that hey you may want to up your game a little. 

Those situations are just begging you to forego your brand integrity and discover (only when it's too late) what red-lining your relationships for immediate gains can do for your long-term goals.

I'd redline that sucker and get to negotiating, but "similar" is way to abstract for me to be comfortable.

Even if you have some cash flow with your rental, the break even or red line can come fast!

Sounds like that is what you're advising here: pay yourself first, invest with what you paid yourself, and then pay the minimums on your massive debts (such as student loans).Were you ever at that financial "redline"?

If I were new to town and looking at a 10-15 year hold period, I'd be focussing on the Red Line.
