He was able to fight the mugger off and then had him arrested - which is how the scheme was revealed.Only logical reason to accept cash is if you're trying to hide income from the IRS.Otherwise, require your tenants to send you money orders or deposit cash rent into your bank account.

I have attorneys who only charge $500-$650 for handling seller's side, but once you add in the state and local transfer tax, transportation fund fee, prorated real estate taxes, stormwater, courier, etc., it adds up.

You may want to somewhat hide your identity from tenants though, which if set up correctly, an LLC can do.You didn't ask, but... you should ask your PMC a LOT of questions about HOW they will execute their services and how they will communicate with you.
