Hampton Roads is a military town and I have met several investors and families that did not know that they can use their VA Loan to purchase investment properties.

Apply for new jobs, expand your skills in your current field, get a second job, Teach USA program or the military (pays back student loans) are a few ideas for improving your bottom line in the near future.

BP members,Here is the situation: A friend of mine who is in the military has a property in Killeen TX as the result of her divorce.

by doing that, I could actually live off my military pension. 

I would suggest using a realtor and lender that specialize in VA loans and selling homes to military personnel.

We are military and scheduled to leave the area in 2020 at which point we will be investing in the northwest South Carolina market from there out.
