Most polices have a limit for other structures based on a percentage of the limit on the main structure.

Hello BiggerPockets family,My wife and I own a multifamily apartment building, and we had a terrible tragedy a couple of days ago.We await the final police report, but there was an apparent murder/attempted suicide in one of the units.So far we’ve spent $20k in crime-scene cleanup and they still have another day of work to do.  

.- Check craigslist and online newspapers for postings on rentals (newspapers helpful in smaller towns)- I've called the police station and asked about crime in certain areas- Talk to insurance agents. 

Also, no dumpsters to have to police. 

Either you or your tenants are going to have to call the police.

Our local PD makes all police reports public by precinct as well so you can see exactly what kinds of crimes are being reported.

BTW, since he worked for the police department, lived home with mom, all the info on hand is good.
