@Gareth Fisher Things might be different in PA, but her in my area (MA), electric baseboard is the cheapest to install, but by far the most expensive to run.I have had retail buyer clients who have said that they would not even consider a property with electric baseboard heatI'm a fan of mini-splits (on your tenant's electric meter!)

If it is FHA definitely not, in other circumstances the seller is probably not going to be a fan of your offer because you would be asking a stranger to borrow probably $20,000 or more.

Or if one of them has a guest over who gets hurt, owns a dog that bites someone, etc  and you are the one who ends up getting sued.I'm a fan of house hacking you just have to make sure you cover your bases.
