Hello BP users,Real estate development has been on my radar for years now and I’m 80% sure I’m ready to get into that space.I’ve been a real estate agent for 6 years in residential, commercial leasing and multi-family off market sales.So what is the best way to become a developer?

Not sure how this helps, but they seem to have a system they like to follow, and their LLCs hold general troughs of investments, i.e. all syndications go in ABC LLC, all direct holdings go in XYZ LLC, etc.From protecting your liability that may arise from an action taken by the syndication, I can't imagine you would create any real protection there.  

I'm beginning to take interest in buying a single family rental or a small multi-family as a preferred strategy. 

There isn't any role in multi-family rentals below a couple hundred doors that requires two persons in charge.But when the starting stalls gate opens and the horses come out, there is only one jockey on the horse.

With builders offering in-house financing as low as 5.5% for investors/second home owners, and warranties on roofs and HVAC systems, I continue to support new construction as a solid choice for LTR buyers.
