The best way to find mentors in my opinion is to attend meet ups.

Learn further by attending the BP webinars. 

Hope you are attending some of the local REIA meetings and landlord meetings. 

I was thinking about attending the Galveston county auction in about a week.

I recommend you start out defining what you want, develop education in that area of expertise, and attend local real estate socials.

I've already attended a couple of meetings from the MeetUp.com website.

Attend local meetups and get new spouse.... kidding, kidding....

I know someone here who runs one of these clubs very successfully.I've never attended a RE guru seminar, but from the snippets I've seen, its the same content as in the books and the BP podcasts, but dressed up in a funny story or some other fun form.

I'm in the Athens area so Atlanta is a bit of a stretch to me, but I'd love to attend some meetings to listen/learn from others if anyone can point me in the right direction - especially the Athens area, as any "groups" I've found are no longer very active.

I am hoping to attend an auction in the next month.
