Charles, Thanks for stop by. :-)I have been interested in real estate for couple of years, I have hand-on experience w/ rehab work mainly from fixing my own house, I spent a lot of efforts learning things in last a few months - I'm getting agent license(for my own use).

Also, now that we have email and the intrenet, it may not be necessary for your CPA to be located in the area, just so long as they are up on the taxation of your state.I suggest you ask Charles Perkins here on BP as to what to look for given your specific circumstances, he is in Washington state and probbaly knows CA issues and CPAs there.

I would also agree with Charles that it looks like the brokerage has some other hidden benefits as well.
