If they are not willing to do a few minor steps that not only helps you but helps them clean up their financing and enjoy the american dream of home-ownership then move onto the next person.

Some are based off of income, others are for Native American tribes, etc., but typically they are grants given to cities/counties by the state.

I've been wanting to buy in London but as an American the financial requirements are astronomical between lending, different taxes for being a foreigner and owning multiple properties, the stamp duty etc.

Money is important in our society but we pay it too much heed.
