Point being, you're classic house hack deal of buying a 2-4 unit property, living in one unit and renting out the others is becoming less viable given the huge demand.

In our Charlotte market, rents are rising so rapidly- with 140 people moving to Charlotte every day- that even big, national builders like Lennar Homes and Toll brothers are building entire communities just for rental appreciation (classic bur and hold- but these are brand new construction homes)!
