Well I’ve been building houses all my life I just turned 21 back in October and I’ve been wanting to get into investment properties for awhile but nobody around where I live does it or if they do they don’t want to give you insight or advice and I’m just nervous about losing money igWhat's the struggle on the four-plex? 

Canton is a great area but I am biased as I grew up in Stark County and now live about a 1/2 hour south.  

Form an LLC where the property is located or where you live.

I am house hacking it, so I will be living there for at least the year minimum, but don't really plan on staying longer than that.

Part of the issue depends on what market your buyers are from and where they live..

A couple of weeks ago, I came across an awesome off-market deal on a hundred-year-old house a few weeks ago and thought all I had to do was renovate it and I would have myself a nice little home to live in long term.

Like Greg mentioned, I would be concerned with his/her responsiveness while I was living there.
