To be clear, the distinction comes down to this: (1) you don't need to have an government exemption if you're simply flying for a hobby, (2) if you're flying to make money, then you need the exemption.Part 107 will be in effect soon.

@Paul Shannon - That is a pretty broad area, the cities you mentioned are really chunked up into a few distinct units. 1) Panhandle/High Plains - Lubbock (south end), Amarillo (north end) are the two main markets - agriculture and higher education based; Lubbock is on FIRE due to Tech growing rapidly.

Also agree w/Greg's comment re social justice warriors/potential litigants with nothing else to do.Discrimination is making unjustified distinctions between people based on groups or other categories to which they belong/are perceived to belong.
