The Missouri Supreme Court in Ethridge apparently stated that for equitable subrogation to apply, the party against whom the doctrine would be applied (USAA in this case) must have "engaged in fraudulent conduct or committed acts bordering on fraud that created the condition that caused the lender a loss." 226 S.W.3d at 134.

Anyway, they will probably suggest I create a 'parent' LLC in Wyoming and eventually put all other LLC's into this LLC for the best protection considering Wyoming has strong protections far greater than Connecticut which will help de-incentivize any lawyers from pursuing lawsuits.

Now, if there were some grey areas where you made a decision to write something off immediately as opposed to depreciate it, such as through the De Minimus Safe Harbor, or you chose Bonus Depreciation instead of choosing to depreciate it over its useful life, that's one thing.This is probably the sixth time in the last 2 weeks I've heard "my mortgage broker suggests I show income of $60,000 this year" or "my mortgage broker wants to know if you can move this from Schedule E to Schedule C" and any other number of complete bull-oney that makes me wonder what the heck these brokers think they are doing.

Purchase price: $155,000 Cash invested: $220,000 Purchased this distressed home right outside of University of Delaware and renovated the entire property: new roof, new windows, new siding, filled in an in ground pool, demoed flooded basement and added 4th bedroom, converted half bath to full, refinished kitchen, refinished hardwood flooring, installed LVF throughout home, new plumbing, new electrical, etc.
