Look closely at the lake house numbers, in my STR experience, the start up and ongoing costs were higher than expected to maintain quality.The question of acquiring more investment property or paying down debt is definitely a personal choice, and depends on your current income and other factors.

Option 3 would be my choice if you aren't happy with the area of a house hack you won't be happy living there.

My only choice at this point is an FHA 203K, which will allow me to update it and convert it back to a four while I live there for the first year.

Seems the right choice is start over and make more professional buisness decisions in the future .

They're in high demand.In our area, the solar has to be in the owner's name, so we have no choice but to do it this way.

That was a difficult choice for me to make.
