A roof is significantly higher up than a ground mount and should avoid enough dust.

Ikea uses a rail mount which hangs the boxes from the wall.  

Again, very convenient.Also, let me throw in my favorite tip, mount a keybox on your property with a master key inside.

Anyone have recommendations for Mount Vernon, WA or the surrounding Seattle, WA area?   

Think the rules may be strict in the city limits so check on that.There is also Isle of Palms,  Folly Beach and Mount Pleasant.You can start in your own backyard.
