And they should find ways to cut out gems which are not necessities so skipping eating out and cooking meals instead for instance.

Let em house clean, do laundry, wash your car and of course fix your meal(s).

My resident assistant job right now during the school year gives me free housing and meals at the dining hall, but I get no income and by contract I am not allowed to obtain another job or else I get fired.

I'll buy food for them, pay a bill for them, take them out for a meal but never ever give them cash.In the end we all suffer on behalf of people that make poor choices.    

I am blessed to have very affordable rent, (I rent out a room in a house) negotiated a low cell phone bill, and meal prep all my meals so my food cost is about $40/week or $160/mo.

Yeahhh, go ahead and give poverty a whirl for a time, getting your meal at a food shelf, dodging bullets on way to/from school, trust me when your really poor and broke, it is absolutely everything! 

Not only is this fair for society, it's healthier for the individual's psyche, as they could feel good about the assistance they get as payment rather than charity.

I have eaten some meals before where you take a bite,time stops, and I am floating through the Universe.

Banks are much healthier now and people have more skin in the game with larger down payments the last 10 years.. unlike last time.
