They won't respond to you because they don't respect you or they believe you don't know enough to be a threat, so an attorney is the best option.

Around here with our tenant sided laws and contingency fee lawyers the threat of a lawsuit from a tenant can be a real threat for that reason, but I don't know if that's the case in Florida.
