One of my properties I have amazing tenants; granted I do many nice things for them in return but they are amazing nonetheless.As an example they gave us a hand made gift basket for Christmas with candles, body lotions, wine, etc that they made.

Typically we wire lights in parallel so that a malfunction on one light doesn't effect the rest of the lights on the circuit (ie. old Christmas lights that go out when one bulb is unscrewed).

Pay it, and be grateful my tenant had heat on a cold holiday, after having the power out for two days over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (we had a really bad winter storm and a huge area was without power for several days), or call the company and try to negotiate the cost down a bit, because the tech was not there for two hours (their shop is 10 minutes away), while trying to maintain a good working relationship with them?
