When I toured, a few things I noticed: Blocks, which presumably were used to support the exterior walls, are fallen to the ground.Jack posts had sunk into the dirt floor in spots, and were not supporting floor joists. 

If you know your area, house by house, block by block you can still have great success.

Is there something more concrete?

Since they have concentrated their purchases into pockets of major cities, it means it will be hard to command top dollar if you are selling 10 homes on the same block.

@Terry LaoHey Terry,On the way to lunch today I noticed a couple different blocks and blocks of small multis on Decatur.

The purchase price is $75K and comparable homes on the block are valued around 150-180K with a newly renovated house across the street listed for $172K.

Some deals looked great on paper, but then you park your car on the block and get a feel for the pocket and realize that it's not something that you are comfortable with.

thanks yes i do want to get a specialist in to give me a quote for repairs and the houses on the same street sold for around 130k to 160k but just 3 blocks away houses sold for up to 300k.

Jax is also notoriously spotty even in the same zip let alone a couple of blocks away.
