I have a house, owned and rented comfortably for quite a while now, which recently began to mysteriously produce renter prospects to the doorstep of the house.

One day back in 2013, her son committed murder, and they immediately moved out of the house.

With the exception of foreclosures, things like liens and other title issues were initially a mystery to me.

If your insurance called and said they hadn't been paid and the bank said "sorry, we don't have the money to pay it" you would be screaming bloody murder.

Imagine someone having gotten a key (for whatever reason, however, doesn't matter), and using it to go in and commit a sexual assault, murder, etc because a landlord didn't change them between tenants.

So I'm looking at a house in Bergen tomorrow in which the broker said there was a "murder/suicide"  It's actually not in a terrible area but clearly unfortunately circumstances.  

I had a rate hike mysteriously occur during a closing and my mortgage broker was on vacation, conveniently out of cell phone reach.
