This "guilty until proven innocent" theme   is based on a misunderstanding of how the burden of proof operates in discrimination cases.You can read about it here if you don't care for my explanationhttp://corporate.findlaw.com/human-resources/race-...otherwise The way the law works is that once the complainant has established a prima facie case that discrimination has occurred - the burden of proof shifts to the Defendant to provide a non-discriminatory explanation for what happened.So all you have to do is come up with a non-discriminatory explanation for what happened.

Here’s my unique position: Pros:- I’m employed- working in tech affords me a high salary- great credit- young (for now haha)Cons:- less than 5k in working capital for deals- young and inexperienced- in NYCThe easiest solution to get started would be to house hack but I don’t have enough money for the down payment on a high priced home.

The York college area is quite unique as there are multi million dollar houses on one side of Country Club Road and then row houses within a mile or so that sell for 50k.I would be happy to talk in depth about the York area and what places to avoid and places where you can find a good deal and make it cash flow.
