I have experimented with postcards in West New York. 

Sending letters or post cards can be a good way to find sellers.

This list is difficult to get but once you get it, you can send a postcard to the owners of these properties and you can get some of them at a HUGE discount.The good deals are not on the MLS anymore.

I am working from a few different lists to market to motivated sellers:- Absentee tax delinquencies that have not yet gone to tax auction will get a letter each month until they sell or pay the taxes- ALL upcoming tax and foreclosure auction properties will get a “URGENT” style yellow postcard.

@Russell Redford If I were you I would make a small, but very concentrated direct mail marketing list of the BEST 1000 leads you can come up with in your market and send them large postcards at 40c/piece, every month.

Last week Friday I started my Direct Mail Postcards and chose to deliver all the in-county ones myself, going door to door.

Lob.com is a great system for automated letters, postcard, checks, etc.

As soon as they see a coupon style postcard, into the trash it goes.
