A few things on the North Shore and the NEREIA in Chelmsford are close and I'd check out the Black Diamond meeting in Waltham as it is worth the longer drive.

@Jason Ruello a beginner trying to start with STRs is a bit like a beginner skier trying to go down a black diamond (the most advanced terrain).

Could be a diamond in the rough or a cranky person who is offended you called them on a sign they posted.Good Luck!

Some diamonds in the rough can be found, but you have to wade through a lot of "hazardous waste" to find those gems.

We don't stain our stock unfinished cabinets because I don't like the way the lower grade birch or oak take stain.For in stock (relatively) inexpensive pre-finished cabinets I like Lowes Diamond now Wintucket in cloud gray or Caspian in antique white.

One of the resources they mention is the Diamond access pass which is sometimes included or not depending some factors.
