Don't know if the supplier is available in your area, but I will only buy Surplus Wharehouse cabinets or some from Lowes.  

There are a couple of online suppliers that are willing to ship, however the countertops being done that way are made in china and of terrible quality.

In truth, the selling company knows what they're going to do for rehab, they have streamlined processes and suppliers (economies of scale like this are how turnkey companies keep costs low and make money), so the buyer doesn't actually get a lot of input on what happens to the property.

Lucky to have connections through work to get cheap materials from our suppliers.  

In these 8 years I've developed plenty of great working relationships with reliable tradesmen, handyman, suppliers, and designers.

I have not purchased through Rent to Retirement, HOWEVER I did purchase a supposedly "turnkey" property from one of their Kansas City suppliers.

He understands that he may be getting charged retail rates for repairs but it is not worth his time to oversee everything or dig through material suppliers trying to save a few bucks.

The rehabber walked us (almost 50 people showed up) through the property and then white boarded her whole process, including naming suppliers and vendors she worked with.
