@Daniel KebedeRecommend exploring as many sources as possible to get referrals AND cross-reference them to get as much accurate information as possible.Check out NARPM.com, BP’s Property Manager Finder (BiggerPockets: The Real Estate Investing Social Network), etc.Also, encourage you to learn from the mistakes of others - by reading posts here on BiggerPockets about owners not having their expectations met by their current Property Management Company.

I tend to lean toward leveraging for growth, but doing so with good performing properties and enough reserves - after seeing many investors lose everything when the market turns.

Unfortunately these do cost more and tend to dry out in the can, causing waste.

It seems very appealing to me since healthcare professionals make a decent living and tend to be great people.

Since we are the first and the front runner by volume, we tend to experience the wave first before it ripples throughout the industry. 

I always find REIA meetings great for networking with local lenders, contractors, property managers and other like minded investors who are usually willing to share referrals.

This best way I have found is through referrals.
