From my research, I found that people complained no deals seem to qualify for their funding.The company that put on the 3 day workshop sells training.

I attended first a 2 hour introduction to Than Merrill's real estate training, then it was the up-sell to attend a 3-day workshop event where you would learn more.

Someone pitching to me on the phone who I've never met has about a 0% chance to get any of my money.I would focus on trying to get into REI events, conferences, workshops etc. to meet someone in person and start a conversation and build a network that way.

I know the local SBA office Phoenix has a monthly free workshop where people who are new to the process can come in and learn how SBA loans work and whether or not it would be good for them.

I'll be at Jeff Armstrong's Secrets of Paper next week and also looking at a NPN workshop in November.
