Its a very strange situation, I see lake fronts charging 400-500 in the summer which is understandable so I as well as the others in the area without it charge $190-250.Now like I said many of the one bedrooms in the area are not up to the standard that mine is and have bad occupancy at $140 a night in the slow season but I did find a property which is farther off the water and a few neighborhoods over that charged $275 a night and is pretty packed but no better than the $140 ones. 

That being said, we have now run into a strange situation where I am not quite sure how to proceed.The tenant in question funnily enough happens to be my neighbor, as I own several units on the lot and for this reason, I have managed it personally over the years unlike other assets in our portfolio.

Just seemed strange that it falls into neither category...Josh

You can't seller finance mortgaged properties, there is a due on sale clause, the bank calls the loans...more over your expectation that I'd have steady income for 30 years is strange.

Totally passive.Curious as to other BP members weird/strange investments that they are willing to disclose.  

While it was strange to purchase a home without ever seeing it, you have to just view real estate investing almost the same as the stocks you have been investing in.
