None of those things have any positive technology spin-offs for the economy.From an economic perspective, the possible civilian technological benefits of military research is not a good argument because we would rather have the money focused on civilian technology than on military technology that could serendipitously have a civilian benefit.Having said that, I do like the idea of any technology that would save lives - either of our soldiers or of innocent civilians who so often get killed and are called "collateral damage."
