When i arrived in the US i wasnt able to get funding due to lack of credit history as an overseas citizen.

All of my rentals are stuck using Louisiana Citizens Insurance (state sponsored and 3x what I was paying before the insurance companies all either pulled out or went bankrupt).

Sounds like you're discriminating against US citizens by requiring a background check for them, but not illegals.
