It is difficult to make a strong case that what you charged someone was fair to them and not an overcharge for their actual use.

Most of the complaints were about about fine print items, and being over charged, but I figured I would call them anyways and see what happens.

I'll be self managing through my company so I don't need to worry about getting overcharged or priority over other cabins in their portfolio.    

Though my management company was absolute trash and constantly tried to scam me by overcharging for basic duties that other companies provide for free or at a reasonable rate.

Or overcharge you for a job in a way that doesn't make sense.

He said the plumbers didn't reconnect the pipes to the outside spigot when they replaced the pipes in the house and that the pipes they used were too small and that they overcharged us for the job.

These will need complete rehab and renovation.This is my first time doing a project of this size and I was wondering two things: 1) How many bids/estimates do you usually get to make sure you're not being overcharged and 2) Do you have any recommendations for good reputable contractors in the DMV area that deliver on time/budget?

The biggest problem I see with turn-key operations is that they aren't providing anymore service than you'd get buying off the MLS or that they are even worse over charging you for a property.

They just recovered $250 for me that was an over charge that a mortgage company did not want to acknowledge.
