My self esteem is crushed :)

The boost in self esteem from earning something on her own merits can't be overstated when she's already going through a tough time.  

This is not to say this is good or bad (personally, I don't think you should let people collect anything without participating as it is deleterious to society and to the person's self-esteem) but that it already goes on.

So.... guy... you really need a mentor to make it in this business ... next time ask what to do BEFORE you do something that will cost you money and time and self esteem and.... well you get it.  

Here are some of my thoughts: The teacher is seeking another revenue stream, The teacher is a phony in terms of his success and seeks others to actually help himself, the teacher is indeed a good god-fearing person who makes time to help others, the teacher actually enjoys helping as a way to build his ego and his self-esteem.

Now I didn't grow up in a time where everyone got a trophy for participation and maybe my self esteem would be so much higher that I wouldn't be so cranky when someone disrespects  their elders but, when someone who claims to be a Broker for seven years and has "investors" for clients yet has such a seemingly small grasp of investing then excuse me.

It isn't a popularity or self esteem contest and I don't get the point of this thread nor see the need for arrogance rather than humility.

@Ralph R. thanks for the mention among the names of so many others esteemed here on Bigger Pockets. 

But you cant imagine what it does to your self esteem to find out you have mental problems.
