They traded the light discomfort of what might have been a 6-9 month recession for a blippy 1-2 month recession, and between the stimulus money and the zero rates flooded everything with so much cash that anyone could have predicted ridiculous inflation.

I don't mind a bit of discomfort and risk but perhaps we can toss around some numbers of what I can bring to the table and what kind of risk I am willing to take on a monthly payment basis until the rental process and income is that which trends upwards until its paying for itself and profitable and figure out a property price range from there.

To help lessen the extreme and discomfort in my early twentys and thirties, I did Dale Carnaige, Toastmasters, joined various business groups and served on committes, did " firewalking" and a host of "self improvement" adventures, did bungee jumping, scuba diving and some other interesting things to become more comfortable being uncomfortable... or as jeffers admonished, feel the fear and do it anyways.

I think that when we are right with these things, the idea of death and/or discomfort becomes less compelling to us, thus freeing us to think about things more productive than self preservation.
