Will Johnston Bedroom Window Opens to Large Shaft, Still a Legal Bedroom?

I'm looking at a long, skinny rowhouse that's currently configured as a 2 unit, but could probably be reconfigured for three units for either rental or condo conversion.Several of the existing bedrooms have their only window into a shaft that I'm pretty sure was put there explicitly for the purpose of allowing light into the house.

Like I said, most of the neighborhood looks the same (as far as lot size/configuration) and you'd never know that there was different zoning.

After some consideration we decided to mine historical MLS data based on:  A specific geographical area (shown below)A specific rental rate range: $1000/Mo. to $1400/MoA specific configuration: single family home, 2+ car garage, 3+ bedrooms, no pool and 1000+ SqFt of living space.Sold or rented between 1/1/2010 and 12/31/2015Below is a graph showing the average $/SqFt for conforming properties sold through the MLS during the 1/1/2010 and 12/31/2015 period.As you can see, sales appreciation has been significant since 2012.

I will make it happen once the weather clears and if he still wants to do it.I don't have the ability to do a pod cast from my home as I don't know how to configure the computer set up and stuff they need .. they need something called Skype and I don't know how to use that etc... all the pod cast I do are always just on the phone..

Checked with the city, they came back with no flexibility and that, even with the chance of applying for the zoning change, it would never go through due to configuration of the property.
