My current loan guarantor is working to get his affairs in order because of health reasons and would like to be off as the guarantor. 

Unless it's a smoking hot deal or a good rental is hard to find, I'd never want to rent from someone who meddles in my personal affairs that much.

I own several apartment building in Los Angeles county, several homes in several states and I never ever asked my wife whether or not I should buy or sell a property and because I never involved my wife she already has the expectation that I don't involve her in my business affairs.
