thanks for your time and help 1st off, full disclosure here, Rent To Retirement advertises their properties on my Investment Properties For Sale Show, so I am not a totally unbiased opinion and it's only fair that I tell you this up frontHaving said that, outside of running my show for people like them, I also own a property management company in Northeast Ohio and have worked with 1,000's of out of state investors over the years.I say all of that to say this, the overwhelming majority of negative reviews I have seen on them are very similar to a lot of negative experiences investors have with my property management company and others like it that I've worked with.

Also @Andrew Syrios thank you for your opinion also, it´s pretty much helpful to have different opinions and perspectives, but still difficult to decide when someone it´s just beginning.  

The interior will need to be repaired and repainted.I've done several 1900 - 1920's and while they usually have good bones, the electrical can be underpowered for today's needs, and the water lines can be corroded galvanized or even lead.

This could easily cost you $10’s of thousands if you plan to stay in the home 5+ years when you return. 

Park Hill Golf Course was owned by a trust, in the wayyy distant past it was previously a dairy farm, but it has been operated as a golf course since the 1930's!

You can sell your property into an S corp take advantages of the gain and then depreciate it all.
