There is a report from a structural engineer stating the house is sound, but it's an old house on a hill and has settled significantly.There is evidence they tried to fix it at some point- steel beams and footers in the basement and a newer wall along one side of the basement.I've made an offer and got a counter from the bank.

@Charlie John @Joy Panebianco @Zana Blue here are some of the before pictures of the remodel.This is a picture of the front room with the kitchen being to the left in the picture.We removed the wall between the front room and kitchen to make the kitchen more open and added a new support beam and two supporting post because the wall removed was load bearing.These are the walls built to support the ceiling while the kitchen wall was removed and new posts and beam was installed.Wall removed and new posts and beam installed.
