I've got a couple of quotes and the equipment goes from $150 to $400 depending on model.

Many pro's now only do this type of installation with the higher tank temps.I'd like to know more about the boiler. this setup can be really inefficient in the summer depending on the model and how it's implemented. 

I would say that the model he teaches works in Colorado....but I suspect the market there is even more competitive than here in Texas. 

My investment aspirations that I'm interested in are multifamily rentals.

This is cheap with battery-powered materials, if your local code allows it, significantly more expensive with hard-wired models if your local code doesn't allow them.
