I am looking for investor-minded 1) realtor and 2) lender recommendations in the Bryan / College Station area.

My advice is who you will be renting too. college kids big money from parents. your average Mr and Ms Joe who have a professional job with no kids etc. what amenities will you be putting in washer dryer dish washer etc.

It is in my college town and we would rent to students which I am okay with.

I'm married with three children with two of those in college. 

I recently graduated college and started my career as a mechanical engineer and have recently decided that while I love my job I don't want to work for the rest of my life, and real estate investing makes the most sense to me in order to gain financial freedom before I turn 60.I have been reading a ton of real estate books and discovered the bigger pockets book on rental property investing which gave me a great introduction to all the topics and possibilities in real estate.

As far as my real estate career, I worked for a local Century 21 office for a year when I was in college but I was more interested in my friends than work so I never really took off with it.

I have come across a 5 unit apartment complex in a college town  off the market currently. 

I am contemplating my next steps and what I should do as I am currently at college at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.

I'm not familiar with CT but I know they have to have some colleges and that's always a great area for rentals. if you are wholesaling to landlords / buy and hold investors then that's a great place to start.kudos,Mary
