If you have to repaint the entire unit or it’s trashed and you have to repaint it’s probably 2 weeks.

Houses that I reside in, I just re-paint and renovate.

Why take basically a zero maintenance exterior, and turn it into one the requires money to be spent on it for repainting every so often.Even HardiBoard needs to be repainted from time to time (when it begins to chalk off). 

Not much work to be done, just a re-paint and I was going to replace all flooring with laminate. 

The sewage work came to $3000 (the catch basin had collapsed and plumbers thought it should be removed, dug to standard 5 feet depth, and replaced).Also, the other CHA inspection issues required repainting both units, along with some fixes that had been observed during the due diligence property inspection.  

I would say desire to repaint depends on the class of tenancy or looking to attract.

We just sold our home repainted it grey with white accent walls, I regret not doing it while we lived there, it was such an amazing color compared to the beige AZ homes are known for. 

I also wanted to put in new lights, new vinyl flooring and repaint the bathroom.

I've had countless contractors tell me to go with Vinyl, however, the cost is about 3x that of re-painting the exterior.
