KB’s homes were catering to an American dream of middle-class prosperity that was still very much alive in the postwar era.

If it helps, sometimes looking at the house as a 3-5 year stepping stone instead of a forever home can cut out some of those "dream home" emotions. 

The loan officer shouldn’t be taking your dreams of the future as if they are reality today.

They could be amazing in finding your dream home but they probably don't know much about working with investors.

If this ends up being one fo your biggest worries, you’re living the dream. 

I would suggest networking and making sure you have your dream team (Realtor/Deal Finder, Property Manager, Contractor, Lender) to make sure that you are completely comfortable in the area that you chose.  

It would have been easy to give up especially when you have friends and family telling don't go yet or stop chasing this wholesale dream and get a job.

What’s more difficult is knowing how to get people so they cross the finish line and they succeed at their dreams.

We have 6 kids and realestate to me is the way I have been dreaming of providing for my wife and I into retirement and my children after we are gone.
