This had previously never crossed my mind as I live in Vancouver BC and quality multifamily assets typically start at 8 figures.Luckily, I am comfortable with numbers as I've spent over a decade as a finance professional with roles from corporate banking to being a CFO of a small aviation firm. 

However i would prefer a local attorney so i can get my wife to be more accessible since english speaking is not her strength.

.- Language barriers: English-speaking contractors and realtors often charge a premium (sometimes a very unreasonable one).- Currency risks: for investors with large portfolios, adding long term investments in foreign currency can be a smart hedge in case the USD were to lose a lot of value over time.

Some english real estates terms aren't even translated.

I'm currently teaching English in South-East Asia and was looking into buying USA real estate with money that I'm saving abroad.I understand that being a US outsider, getting a mortgage may be a little challenging or at least come at a heavy price. 

The VAs were often based out of south or southeast Asia, had reasonably good English skills, and were available at under $10/hr rates.For more complex work that may involve communicating or collaborating with others, then you’ll likely need a more capable assistant at a higher price.

I have had some poor experiences working with non English speaking agents.

We had mature English ivy on the side and husband got severe reaction from poison ivy while working.

Now that was the day.. letting non pilots up near the controls would not happen today that's for sure.. you get the stink eye if you even look in the cockpit or make an inference that you know anything about aviation.
