I just don't get it, but I do appreciate that some good has come from this book.I suspect much more harm has come from it than good - and the victims who cashed in their 401k, then over leveraged in real estate and are now broke, more often end up homeless or kill themselves than come on the internet to admit what it did to them.

It's not the end of the world, necessarily, but many people feel that if they can't absolutely maximize each dollar in the most efficient manner, then somehow, they have failed.And in this day and age, the internet allows the entire world to criticize every decision they've made if they decide to share it for some reason.

Foreclosure, in my mind, was not an option because I didn't want to pay the price and also, the home has a 1st lien that is 50k more than the value of the home, so I didn't see how foreclosing from 2nd position would put me in a better place anyway.Also, I have not been able to reach the homeowner through my own means of internet research, letter campaign to her two addresses, or by sending out an agent to the home (which is vacant).
