Most of my experience with ads is from another business and I'm sure many of the principles apply, but I'm super curious about any communities that may be out there sharing tips and trips.

To help guide me, what asset class/size are you after?

Here are a few I recommend: "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Roberto Kiyosaki; "Set for Life" by Scott Trench; "The Unofficial Guide to Real Estate Investing" by Spencer; "The BiggerPockets Ultimate Beginners Guide" found here on BP; "The Book on Rental Property Investing" by Brandon Tuner.

If you can manage to get thru to someone by phone to guide you thru, it will go much easier.

We could do it ourselves, and eventually we will, but if someone who lives in Northern Tuscany could be our guide and startup marketer, that would be great.

My question is, is everything on this trip a write off?

I also am a big fan of "The Weekend Millionaire's Guide to Real Estate Investing", by Mike Summey and Roger Dawson.  

Most likely the state where the property is located is where lawsuits would be brought if they are something for personal injury like a trip and fall or something of that nature because the “cause of action” arose in that state.

Are warning/signs enough to indicate potentially hazardous slips/trips/falls?
