The sentiment that Airbnb is dead here is just something I hear and it's definitely deeper than that and not just taking someone's word for it.

I'm going to have to just disagree with your sentiment which is not something I typically do on here.

I think the sentiment on Racine has died down a little bit due to Foxconn pulling out on a lot of their job promises.

I do not underneath this sentiment.  

But local sentiment has turned against it and we are trying to pass legislation at our voting day in March to only allow STR in owner occupied SFH or SFH with an ADU or a duplex that is owner occupied for at least 3 months of the year.

But I completely get and appreciate the sentiment and the connections to the greater issues in our society.  

I echo the sentiments of others.

The taxes, the prices, the businesses leaving in droves, the outflow of population, the anti landlord sentiment, the rent control, and now the tech workers working from home permanently thing is what has led to my decision.  

Can anyone shed some light on why there is this negative sentiments for this area but yet the rent a comparable to that of Indianapolis but the price of homes are low.
