I have real estate friends that come over to my house for dinner, and we help each other with current issues.  

Invite them to lunch, dinner, coffee, or for beers and pick their brains. 2) Check out local "Event" (Real Estate Classifieds section of the forums on the left hand side of your screen here) and show up and network. 3) Set up a keyword alert for "DFW" or "Dallas" or "Fort Worth" / "Ft Worth" and get a notification - either here on BP and/or via email for those whenever they are talked about on the forums.

I take every opportunity to connect with new people, I tell everyone what I do, and I go to every meetup and dinner and beer dabbler and whatever that I can fit in.  

When I was in college and had roommates, we never came home and had a nice dinner around the dinner table together.

I called the tenant upstairs and questioned them about it they were confused because they were just cooking dinner.

My days are pretty busy, but would anyone want to grab some dinner or a beer and talk apartments or oklahoma real estate?

I'd rather eat dirt for dinner everynight than invest there. 

The mountain views help you doze into a daydream of achieving life goals, or provide clarity on what's for dinner.

It's pretty simple actually....Do 2 things....Start looking for deals and get in the mix... be willing to split the deals... don't ask for money... find creative deals where their knowledge will help you get it done....And then take investors to lunch (you pay always) and ask them about your deal.. how would they do it...sadly when i started i had about 2 lunches and 2 dinners scheduled every other day....
