I have a very good understanding of how the sale works and I have attended and went to the free seminar they recommended before you bid on a property.

Once you're there, you should attend a local REIA meeting as well to meet some in person. 

Also attend any investor meet ups locally.

I've done all the reading I think I need to do for now, just looking for local groups to start attending.

I have been studying and reading various books as well as attending webinars and seminars for several months now on a daily basis.

I’m out of state so I wouldn’t be able to attend any meetings until I move back to the area in a couple years, but just wanted to say good luck and I hope you get something off the ground.

While I don't know any property management company down in South Jersey, I suggest attending a few local REI clubs meetings and asking the locals as to who do they use.

I've looked into KREIA and plan on attending the meeting this month to learn more and meet local investors. 

@Tim Swierczek thank you for the advice, I have started to look into the upcoming meetups nearby and will start attending some of these very soon.

I’m already attending NoteExpo in Dallas in November, but are there any local Houston networking events or clubs specific to notes/liens/etc?
